Skejten is a Danish is a nature reserve of national importance. Artists have been coming here for over 100 years to paint and photograph the old Oak Trees. In the National assembly hall of the "Folketing" there are two large, well-known Olaf Rude paintings of Skejten on either side of the door. Both panels express Danish impressionism and lolland nature. The name Skejten is an expression of uncertain, wobbling movement of the legs (feet) and suggests in this context that the place of the Middle Ages has been used for horse battles. The area has been voluntarily protected since 1917. It is a pretty part of the danish coastal landscape with huge old Oak Trees almost at the waterfront.

Skejten, Lolland - Denmark ..... has so many undiscovered motives, it is just a matter of getting up early and start to explore and you may find a new angle. I really love all the Flint (stones) in the waterline which makes this place much different from other coastal areas of Denmark. This particular morning I was lucky to have both the morning blue hour light and the warm colors of the rising Sun

A photo from Sunday morning sunrise at Skejten. Had to get up at 02:30 and drive for 1,5 hours to get there in time for sunrise .... totally worth being out in nature on you own and just slowly see the morning arrive, the ducks, geese and swans enjoying low flights over the calm water and not any other sounds.

Waiting a little while at the same place can change the mood completely. Finally, after thinking all was over, the sun rays came above the low hangling clouds. This shot was taken only 5 minutes af my previous shot/posting, which had a very cold mood and light - the moral is stick around and never give up and you'll often be rewarded.
Additinoál Exif: NiSi 15mm/F4 ultra wide angle lens. NiSi V6 filterholder with landscape CPL and 2 stop GND filter medium.

Finally a morning with some decent light and still some snow on the ground - so time to get out before the crowd and play with the fantastic Fujifilm GFX100.

The files delivered by this camera is just incredible, my Mac Book Pro also thinks so, phew 🤯. But it's kind-a-like going into the darkroom years ago, one had to wait for that great moment when the final image eventually emerged in the developer tray and the dopamin was released to my brain 🥰.Additionla EXIF: 5 images focus stacked in Helicon Focus (auto focus bracketing function on this camera is great). NiSi V6 with Landscape CPL, GND 3 stop medium. Sirui Tripod to keep it all steady and Vallerret Photo Gloves to keep my fingers warm.

Living only 5 minutes away from this beautiful spot has the advantage that I can get up in the morning look out of the window facing east and determine if there is a fair chance of good clouds for the sunrise, so if all camera equipment is already packed it takes no time to get out and capture the beauty of nature painting in colors right before my eyes ... I never get tired of that and now with bonus of snow 🙂
Additional Exif: NiSi 15mm/F4 Lens (great for sunstars on all apertures). NiSi V6 with Landscape CPL and 3 stop GND medium.

Early trip out before the sun rises behind the clouds, boy was it cold. I was out this Sunday morning testing the new NiSi Lens 15mm/F4. Very impressed with the resolution of the lens, incredible sharpness corner to corner with close to no distortion. A landscape photographer's dream of a small easy to carry ultra wide-angle lens.

Love early mornings in winter time as I don't have to get up so early this time of year for the colors at sunrise 🙂

Finally staying in the rain so I could get out and test my new lens. Lots of water in Karlstrup Mosebæk so that a little movement could be formed in the water for a long-term exposure which could also give a little excitement in the clouds.

I'm impressed with the sharpness all the way to the corners, super lens at a reasonable price.
Additional Exif: NiSi V6 filter holder with landscape circular polarising filter and graduated neutral density filter at 4 stops. Sirui R-2214X tripod with Sirui Ball Head K30-II.

Had been aout all evening to find the magic light at Dragør, but enden up with the steeling behind the clouds in the horizon, disappointed I drove home only to find out that almost home there developed this magical sunset, so had to make a hasty decision to stop at the lake at Karlstrup Kalgrav, luckily this turned out much better that expected.

Love how the blue light gradually takes over as the sun set at Solroed Beach on one of the last really cold winterdays with pleanty of ice ... now all but gone. In this view it is possible to capture both spectraes (cold and warm) in the same image with the untrawide angle 15mm (112 degree) NiSi 15mm/F4.
