One more from the outing to one of lower Swedens most beautiful waterfalls. Lovely view from the "right" side of Krokån. Halland, Sweden. Focus stack of two images and used NiSi Filter ND 6 stops.

Natures Own Art RevealedOne more from Ascension day. While still early in the day we more or less had this place to ourselves for an 1,5 hour. Such a nice place with the nature close at hand and the water creating images which can't be seen by the naked eye, only through long exposure photography is natures own art revealed. Halland, Sweden.Used NiSi Filter ND 6 stop.

Long Exposure Photography, a whole different way of "making" photographs. There is one thing that has always fascinated med with photography - The excitement of getting home and develop you films to negatives and the to positives on paper and then see in a larger scale what you actually captured - But with the advance of digital photography and liveview on high resolution screens that is all but gone. However, there is still one field where that little excitement still lives and that for me is with long exposure photography. Here you get the possibility to capture something which is not always visible to the naked eye, but only develops upon completion of the exposure - in this image I was rather enthused by the shadow of the tree in the pool of white foam. Something I did not see at first, but once the first image showed on screen I realised here was something and could make adjusted exposures and compositions to get it "right".For a short moment I felt the excitement of being back in the darkroom waiting for the image to appear. So now you know why I feel so strongly for Long Exposure Photography ... so go out an use your ND filters creatively - this cannot be done in post production - it has to be done in situ!Used NiSi Filter ND 10 stops.
